I can't keep up with all the posts boys. . But here's my thoughts. . Calzaghe ? Fit as a fiddle, durable, very high work rate and evidently had the knack of winning. . He displayed his guts when digg

this is the best one yet from you gnash lad .knocking a two time undefeated champion because he never had to come back from a loss and questioning the heart of a great champion . although he fought mo

There is no question of Joe's guts and heart once he was "in" the ring. His desire to win was second to none.

your also king of the one liners (insults ) like i pointed out to you once before talk is cheap .im not into name calling kid

Maybe he's saying(not talking for another man) Joe was never the under dog and was never really to troubled by anyone he fought so he never had to dig deep to turn it round when the pressure was on and he was struggling,To keep going when it seems all is lost is gameness  ,Joe never had to show gameness as he was always winning or still comfortable when under pressure,to be honest it's a big up for Joe's class in my eyes and not a knock

Here you go Brookie/HappyJack.............heres a man who understands heart/gameness

Some fighters are so good they simply never have to rely on gameness to win a fight !........If you see that as knocking a fighter well...........................

 What a pair of plums !.....Brookie like you say its probably best you dont get into these boxing threads i agree....because you either dont read very well or dont really understand the sport like i once thought you did........or probably a bit of both !

If you re-read i said Froch could not get near Calzaghe for pure ability and would more than likely lose to him 99 times out of 100................but to suggest Calzaghe showed heart anywhere near the level Froch has tells me you dont see " heart " or " gameness " in the same way i do..........fighting with a sore hand doesnt show gameness.....cruising to wide margin points wins doesnt show gamness....................................coming back from disappointing losses, coming through fights you are well behind and being beaten in......shows heart and gameness..............

Calzaghe was so good he never had to show gameness !!!......Only a couple of divs who dont really understand gameness would see that as knocking him !!

man, u live in a dream world, calzaghe got the lot, froch good, notts lad like me,couldnt lace the boots of calzaghe in anyway shape or form.

You clearly didnt read the line Calzaghe would beat Froch 99 times out of 100 !!.......................Why do people reply to a post without reading it first

If i remember right calzagie got off the floor in the first round against hopkins and roy jones and still won comftably ,if that aint gameness what is .

Paul getting up from flash first round knockdowns cant be compared in any way to having to dig down and look deep within yourself during the later rounds of hard punishing draining battles where your back is against the wall for long periods.

By the way sorry for 4 different posts i dont know how to do them multiple reply things :icon_redface:

trust me ,if i insulted you it wouldnt be via the internet . to be honest i cant be f****d with your arrogance ..you crow on about gameness and heart , froch only fought one good fighter , ( in ward and he got hammered ) kessler was on the way down when he beat froch , and this latest opponent was as game as a sikie hen . .we can all see how game he is if his management sign to fight a live one next like cleverley .or chad dawson pavlik or ward again or hopkins ..until that time hes only fought nearly theres ,and little aged middle weights .and your up in arms crowing like a banty cock about how game he is and making comparisons with one of the greatest world champions this country ever produced ,and its not the first time youve knocked calzaghi either ...yet as per usual youl deny it ,dont worry about the blessing kid ,im lucky enough :bye:

A like both fighters to be honest great hand speed and technical abilaty from joe , but like what has been said he never fought jones and hopkins and the likes in there prime . Not saying he wouldnt of beat them but it would of been interesting to have seen . Froch is not so technical and dont have the greatest defence but like gnash says he more than makes up for it in heart and grit . Sum may say froch aint fought all his opponents in there prime and there nobodys just difference of opinion a suppose . Calzagie in his prime and froch one hell of a fight a reckon .

my view for what its worth --some fighters in frochs position would have packed up after the ward loss .... he`s picked himself up dusted himself down and plotted himself another 18 months in the game -- which is good for british fight fans? we aint got a lot to crow about at the minute on the world scene for me the fights with bute kessler and ward if they come off should all exciting fights --wher`nt the lad he`s just fought a mandortary ? he`s got buissnes interesst and earnt enough out the game to hang his gloves up .. the only thing thats driving him now is the glory - .

Stig, if you've fixed your van, instead of fecking about on the boxing thread, get the names and addresses of the winning bidders PM'd out so we can send the goods off :D

Cheers, D.

the way i read it gnasher wasn't knocking calzagie. he was just saying that he was a better boxer than froch. one thing i like about froch is his enthusiasm. he still has the desire to win.

if he does have to fight bute it will be the same outcome. bute cannot handle froch`s power.

ward........ hard fight for froch but you can guarantee froch will give 100% to try and win.
