Froch vs mack

Recommended Posts

3rd round is what I'm thinking. Froch has got the bit between his teeth, can't see him being denied, just a matter of when he catches him.

looking to give bute another warning before the rematch ....

I wonder if Bute will want the rematch after that tonight stig. . It's one thing getting beaten on the road, quite another being beaten at home.

I can't keep up with all the posts boys. . But here's my thoughts. . Calzaghe ? Fit as a fiddle, durable, very high work rate and evidently had the knack of winning. . He displayed his guts when digg

this is the best one yet from you gnash lad .knocking a two time undefeated champion because he never had to come back from a loss and questioning the heart of a great champion . although he fought mo

There is no question of Joe's guts and heart once he was "in" the ring. His desire to win was second to none.

Well done to both lads, any f**ker will say they'll get in the ring, but anyone who's been there will know it takes guts

Spot on  , when a teen had go with the gloves , had a dozen or so fights won them, its ok when things are going your way, when not thats when you need (guts) to dig in.not every body can

When did he ever have to prove he had a big heart ? his style of fighting, speed, pure ability and engine meant he never had to come from behind to guts out a win with heart alone........and he never had to come back from a loss...........so where is the big heart........

Different things appeal to different people....for me high achivement with limited ability will always be much more impressive than high achivement with god given talent.......but each to their own of course.

well done froch,

i think froch should take on bute if bute wants it,then a rematch with kessler, then he should be ready for ward, he is commiting alot more to his attacks now and on his night with his power could beat ward,

id rate froch better then calazaghe, froch has fought the best in there back yards and never ducked [NO TEXT TALK],well joe did, fought them all when they were past there best.and wouldnt fight froch when he was calling him out for so long because he didnt want to lose.

Not to jump into someone elses debate.......but personally i dont think Froch is a particularly great fighter,he has no great skills,no real ability..........................but if you have boxed yourself sweater then you will be with me and admire the qualities it takes for a man without great natural talent to reach the very highest level of his sport............one of the things i admire most about Froch is he doesnt fear a loss like many fighters these days, one being the Welshman you made reference to......Calzaghe would beat Froch with one hand behind his back on a monday tuesday and during his lunch break on wednesday for skills and ability.......but he couldnt touch him for fighting heart and pure competetive spirit......and for simple folk like me and maybe you who never made it to any great heights in the sport........that holds a lot of weight.

Myself i think Froch has the beating of anybody out there bar Ward...........and is the most exciting fighter Britain has produced for many years.

gnash i dont think he has the beating of kesler or ward

You might be right Pip.....i just think the gap in class between Froch/Kessler was not as massive as with Froch/Ward.....and without doubt Froch has improved since Kessler whereas maybe Kessler hasnt.........

Personally i think he should leave Bute out if he is not contractually obliged to give him a return he has nothing to prove there ..... with the amount of miles Froch has on the clock he needs to make every fight he has left count now...............you have to admire his desire, planning out 3 top quality fights for next year.......good luck to him he,s like a breath of fresh air.

followed froch from his am days -- for a 35 year old fighter that was cool calm and calculated to me i cant cant see bute, kessler or ward getting past him ... could be an interesting year to come ..

what was cool about it feller .mack is a second division fighter ,hes not fought inside 12 stone in over five years .who has froch fought any good jermain taylor was an old middle weight who was inside of 14 secs of beating him arthur abrahams was an old average middle weight .dirrell was robbed by a home town decision .johnson was 43 yrs old ..he lost to kessler in 2010 when kessler was on the slide .kesslers best years were in 2007 when he lost to the taff .the taff froch dodged twice .i know froch has i sparred with him in our amateur days ..

i dont debate boxing anymore i have my views you have yours

He is contractually bound with that one. I think Bute wants it? But is it really wise? He got his arse handed to him in Nottingham and Froch doesn't scare as easily as others do when in other peoples back yards so there's not gonna be that big home advantage for Bute. I think last night was a bit of a message to Bute to forget the rematch so Froch can get straight onto clearing his record. Lets see what 2013 has for the Nottingham lad.....
