Mixed Bag 603
wet summers and wet winters are stopping the leverets from thriving and also they will be lying up in woods and hedges when the weathers like this hares dont want to lie out in soggy waterlogged fields once it dries up you will start seeing them again 1 Quote Link to post

kranky 507
Mountain hares will go to ground quite readily. Ive only seen brown hares go to ground twice in all my years. Squirrels will go to ground when chased through the trees with a catty, they run to the ground and disappear in rabbit holes. Seen it loads of times. Quote Link to post

I thought you'd been at it for years, way before the ban???? Surely you'd have seen a hare run then. If you've never seen it why are you telling people how it is? Best to leave any advice to those that have done it. Quote Link to post
