paulus 26
pretty dogs, that hoop back would put me off  They look as if they've been shaped by someones idea of what they should look like rather than by what works right (if that makes any sense?) perfect  Quote Link to post
beast 1,884
they were bred from show borzois and show whippets to try to make miniature borzoi-type. interesting looking hounds, but you'd be better off with a small lurcher if you want a working dog Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
With a name like that they sound far too 'show type' for me anyway .... Quote Link to post
vixen 528
cheers mate that fur would get caked running and sliding about in some fields here lately maybe if i was into show dogs but think theres better about for what i want love to see one behind a decent rabbit though The coat wouldn't be any different in the field to some of the rough coated little lurchers like the beddy crosses Quote Link to post

That back on the one pictured would put me off, Quote Link to post
jack2o 45
the coats on the ones in the mag weremuch longer like a borzoi and why have they 'created' a running dog breed just for showing i know a lot of people show whippets but the breed was originaly for coursing hunting etc so if it dont add anything to ability then seems a waste of time making a new breed just to look at Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
probably slower, weaker and marder than a whippet I would guess, what's the point? Quote Link to post
chartpolski 23,945
This is a 1st cross Collie/Borzoi; The lady who owns it also owns Borzois and, I think, Silkens. She was a member on here, and may be able to add to the discussion. Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post
