fox shooting?

Recommended Posts

I really do not understand why people think they're big men posting pictures of foxes they've shot with their guts hanging out? what's it all about? then to add insult to injury they go and put a spent case in its mouth? where has all the respect for the animal gone?

Man (I used to know on another site) headshot a fox once upon a time with a .243.

Posted up the photo on the internet.

Well done fella :) Good job :) Humane kill :) Good shot :)

So, what went wrong?

The photo only showed the fox. Nothing else. A fox with a mashed head.

Ok, so what?

So an anti saw the photo and posted it to one of their sites, and claimed the fox was killed by cruel hunters...

... with a pick axe.

I don't see where I've been disrespectful to any fox I've shot, case in mouth or otherwise.

I would bet the same guys giving out laughed at the posed photo of a fox "shooting" a rifle that does the rounds every so often

People need to get out more.

As for "gut shots", I hide most of the gory bits best I can.

im not referring to you, just stating it because when people post such photos with guts hanging out, when antis see these images they think its seriously cruel

i think some of you are on the wrong site if you dont want to see foxes that have been shot why look simple stay off.

wel said mate

i think there is a difference between seeing foxes shot and foxes blown in bits. personally i have nothing against shooting foxes as i do it myself, all i am saying is that when antis see such photos it doesnt look very good for serious shooters?

nobody that shoots foxes can say that an anti who loves foxes and goes out tree hugging with their binoculars spying on badgers and foxes thinking how lovely they are, will seriously accept images like that? because i think they'd go dispair, it might not matter now, but the way the world is going it wouldnt suprise me if the sport starts going downhill.

Well, We all have a place on this earth and the whole world can't get along, even where culture, religion, etc etc is concerned,

And if those who spend most of their time worrying about what anti's think, rather than partake in a sport or recreation which they love,

then they are on a downward slope already,

Snap.

Why waste your time worrying what an anti thinks? They hate us, they think we're mentally deranged cruel dangerous murderers - at the best of times.

Give them no ammunition, that's why I will - OK not 100% of the time - have my gun in close to the fox/es in my photos. The first time I saw a case in a foxes mouth was to open it to show off their teeth while the photo was being taken. Sometimes I put a case there, mostly not. Lately the only reason I done it was to wind up someone giving out about it on this forum

Say nothing that they can use against us, like that fool of a huntsman did as in the thread in General Talk.

What we do is legal and in a lot of cases provided a much needed service to those who keep fowl, lambs, piglets or rear game. Even conservation organisations here in Ireland like the NPWS hire pest controllers to shoot foxes and trap corvids.

Spend no more time worrying over what those pricks think, that's my (unsolicited) advice

Happy Huntin'
