Mustelid 143
Hi, I've just read an article in this weeks' Shooting Times about Woodcock Shooting and Simon Fayers is mentioned using his GWP x lurchers. Does anyone on the forum know Simon personally or have firstand knowledge of his dogs? His breeding is in my current lurchers, though from three/four generations back. Kind Regards Quote Link to post

spec 45
I came on to ask the same question having read the ST too - I'd love to see some more pics of his dogs or that type of dogs, and hear more about their work. I wouldn't have thought they'd be ideal in the beating line as I'd have thought the HPR/running dog cross would want to range out, but clearly they suit his work! Quote Link to post

arcticgun 4,548
pm Pointer on here mate, he runs a Coursing dog (Casper) x GWP, she very good animal, sort of jack of all trades, very good on lamp and she lasted him a good few year and he runs his dogs hard enough,Ive seen her first hand in her latter years and would not hesitate to have one of these types, great allrounders/mooching dogs, well worth considering Quote Link to post
