And you my son live in a bubble !!! So a terrier man with a hunt wich hunts two days a week. But spends the rest keepering is a keeper or a terrier man Paid for both not ot for an argument just. Times have changed

OK patronising older person, So let me get this straight, this chap is with a hunt that does two days a week so he's doing at least four days a week with the terriers (at the very least four days that is) for the hunt right? that then leaves three days a week for his keepering. Now in my bubble that I live in I happen to know one or two keepers and they themselves are quite keen to come out and accompany me with the terrierwork but I won't see hide nor hair of them until the end of the shooting season because shooting is their profession  they pride themselves on the job they do ensuring that the paying guns are shown good sport if they could do this only working three days a week and then spending the rest hunting I have no doubt whatsoever that they would.

I'm afraid I honestly believe you are out for an argument it really is as simple as I put it many posts ago, a professional terrierman is somebody who works for a hunt and it is his job that he gets a salary for, anything less is part time, semi-professional or amateur and the title has nothing to do with skill, dogs or mettle it really is that simple. I'm terribly bored of this tiring thread I have nothing to gain from arguing with you and couldn't really care less what this keeper/terrierman (who lives in a hunt house but doesn't get paid and then a few threads later he does get paid and he also gets paid for being a keeper) wants to call himself that's his business I'm not paying him and as long as he isn't trenching through the earths I work I honestly couldn't give a monkeys :boogy:

You did well to start as a professional keeper aged 15, lol lol don't make me laugh, why you insist on making yourself look so daft on the net is beyond me, now go back and re read the post on the other thread you mong, I said I keepered a shoot whilst being a AMATURE terrierman, but as its now my full time job I'm sure even your pea sized brain can work out Im no longer a keeper.

Now go bury your head in that coffin sized hole your so proud off & stop giving out stupid advise to folk on subjects you clearly know very little about;-)

like i should be moo f*****g blocked drains. Lol , my point is. I know several keepers that jugle the jobs around terrier work and as ive said more profesonal than some full time. Terrier men times have changed , and lets put this thred into context , the man whos posted it had a job to do wether he sunk a shaft or had to trench his way in he got his fox and got his terriers out , The BnF generation take it for granted some times it dont go according to plan and you have to do what you have to do. , Allways. Remember your terriers. Gte

You are splittings hairs and waffling tripe GTE get out with the dogs :D far too many snipers on here with too much time on their hands. The OP has dropped a bollock with his trench, but hey who hasnt over the years. The superstars have doubled up, trenched on and believe it or not theyve bred shite lol. Far too many who cant see further than the end of their nose. Good hunting chaps................................Tally ho :boogy:
