So all Subaru dog men are scum then?? Some of you want to get out of your ivory towers before casting aspersions. Dont knock something until you've tried it springs to mind. You all just sit tight in your little bubble and slate others who you have never met or even asked what 4wd lamping entails. If done correctly then it is an efficient means of eradicating pests. I'd sooner spend a lifetime in some of these lads company than a hour in some of yours. No wonder the games fcuked when all you do is slate another mans means of hunting. Too right the farmer was chasing a 4wd round the field on foot ..what a load of bollox.

Come off it stabba, you're making out none of us have ever seen the damage left by scoobys and jeeps. I don't have to have a bash at mugging an old woman to know that it's wrong when I see someone do it.

I'm sure there are decent lads out there in 4x4's that respect the land and have a hell of a head count each season, fair play to them and I've all the time in the world for them. But don't make out that there aren't a hell of a lot of clowns blasting about in suburus. We've all seen it first hand.

simple fact is not many farmers are going to allow guys to drive around willy nilly in their fields so the big majority of these lads are doing it illegally and that gives the rest of us who arent driving fields or arent poaching, the same bad name as them

I too would like to see this question answered. How can this be done respectfully and discreetly?

I know there are different ways of doing things. But driving fields? Come on lads.

Ever heard of driving the headlands?? I guess not...ever heard of driving stubbles?? I guess not...Who in gods name has the right to tell me i should walk or pack in?? Not one of you slating my post has experienced driving the land in a civilised manner i'll bet...Course theres numpties out there ripping fields to shit..so what? if it directley affects you then have a say..if it dont then dont comment on nowt you know nowt about. Some of the worst scenarios ive come across have been from day walkers and lampers on foot so the door swings both ways.. Ive done both for a number of years yet none of you have ever come across me on a nightly jaunt..wonder why eh ? probably coz your all too busy typing on here i'll bet. If you meet me then judge me..till then dont tell me how to go about my business...regards stabba

Stabba, all people are saying is it's the lads in the 4x4s tearing up fields that are making it hot for everybody and shitting on the allready poor image of dogmen. So it does directly affect us. Of course there are respectfull ways of doing it. But that doesn't change the fact that there's a shit load of lads out there causing hell and giving everybody with a lurcher a hard time.

Fact is a lad out on his own on foot acting a twat attracts a lot less attention than a team in a suburu acting like twats. I don't give a shit who goes about acting the wanker with their dogs, but when it's getting too much attention from the authorities and they then increase efforts to clamp down on everybody working lurchers (on foot or in a vehicle) law abiding folks like myself are gonna get pissed with them. What's the problem with that? These twats are shitting on our doorsteps and as a result causing us even more grief than we already have.

Stabba if your causing no harm and not damaging stock or the reputation of dog lads I have no gripe with that..

Its these lads that ran a man over that are scum..

Even that Fred the frog and his antics that got on you tube that was discracesful and embarssing that was not hunting at its best or hunitng at all in my opinion..

Do you have permission ?? I could see this being a problem if you drive the land correctly and some tosser comes behind you ripping it up, surely you get ther blame and risk lossing the land ??

I aint just sitting on here tapping away. I work my dogs and do it the right way  I leave the land as I found it,less a few fury critters :whistling:
