tegater 789
Strange why this hasn't been kept "in house" as it should have been, if it is as straightforward as it sounds. It certainly isn't in the "public interest" to prosecute, I would have thought.
Ray Mears 272
it would be a different story if he come back and went on a rampage with the gun in question killed kids and etc... he knew he had it you dont just forget about a pistol after 11 years in a special service. lanesra 3,994
Maybe they took it to Millitary Court HOPING. it wouldn't get the Publicity a civilian court would off , the police it was who found the gun , so why didn't they prosecute ?? Strange that how he wasn't prosecuted through the normal channels , and I think in a normal court he would not off received this type off sentence the judge would off known would Wreck his and his Wife and kids lives !
Malt 379
He didnt pack his gear, he left with 2 dead comrades and it was all packed up and forwared to him.. I bet he won't be the first squaddie to not want to bother with sorting his gear out after an experience like that.. Maybe he couldn't face unpacking it in case it brought back memories he didn't want bringing back, and just left the case lying under a bed or in a cupboard out of the way? socks 32,253
The military courts work in very mysterious ways fellas .... This lad has been sentenced and its not for me to decide what he has done and whether he was guilty or not but its strange that he is in the media light for such a trivial case but a soldier who I won't name from the same regimen is not in the media spotlight and he is due in court for the rape of civilians over a 5 year period including kids as young as 8 ............. Outlaw Pete 2,224
alzheimers suffers can forget a lifetime never mind someone with ptsd Please! We do not become 'Senile'. Maybe he couldn't face unpacking it in case it brought back memories he didn't want bringing back, and just left the case lying under a bed or in a cupboard out of the way? Thank you! Now That statement ~ at last ~ shows a little understanding of PTST. But, let's not lose sight of one rather glaring anomaly here? This guy's obviously had a full blown check up, from the neck up (He's suffering from memory loss, caused by a fever) I'd imagine, if he had PTSD, they'd have spotted that and would doubtless have used it in his defense.
