Slowly does it, when you get near the end or you can see them lifting,, be quiet ! lol..

 

Taking your time at the end of the drive is the key,, you just want to quietly move up and slowly drip feed out the birds.

 

Not always easy,, in fact,, never easy,, Labs idea of praying might also work ! lol

what different methods are keepers using to stop big flushes of birds on driven days?

 

 

simplest method to stop big flushes is to make damned sure every beater with a dog has a lead and uses it :thumbs: other than that as above.

LOL usually I get the beaters to borrow the picker ups leads they always have spares :laugh: :laugh:

Dogs on leads & just as important is cover for the birds to tuck into, if the ground cover is sparse then chances are they will all go in a oner

 

What the fek do u know about keeping u r a profesional terrier man ha ha ha

 

I Don't know f**k all I just blagged my way through setting up a shoot & running it for 10 seasons @ the same time as being a amature terrierman ;-)
