squizzer bashing

The leafs are off and its squizzer bashing time again, i thought id cleared these off last year but their back in numbers. so out came the R10, set my SR12s at 30yrds and off i went to the hide i built in my wood. Got there for about 3.45 and it wasnt long before there was movment in the trees jumping from branch to branch, i had to wait thow as i knew they would use a big fallen branch that snapped off and jammed itself in the next tree creating a bypass that led to the squizzers hideout. one came across as expected and stopped halfway, it couldent see me but it sensed i was there making its gittering warning noise and shaking its tail, i knew this was 25yrds away as ive shot plenty off this branch before so i took aim, pulled the trigger and that asuring deep THUD as the 22 pellet hit its nogging was great to hear, i knocked it off the back of the branch where it tumbled from a 20ft drop into the mass of leafs on the floor, my beddy whippet knew i shot something and off she went to investigate and retieved it back to me, number one in the bag.

i wasnt long before number two came in sight it came in from the edge of the wood where it must have been feeding on the hazzle trees that was over the meadow? that came into sight and THUD! off went pipa again and number two in the bag.

10mins later and a woody came into roost... more ferret food!

It got to about 4.20 and two more squizzers came out to play chasing each other about, but light was against me so i watched them for a while and called it a day....ill save them for tomorrow

I have not seen a single one of my favourite quarry since late september. The SMK TH208 was blatting them out the branches left, right and center as they nibbled on me nuts. Since then nothing.

I hardly think i can take credit for it. I miss those scampy fuzz tails...
