ferretville 69
With my last pair of boots well and truly worn out i thought it was time to splash sum coin on a new pair . After a bit of deliberating on the brand i decided on meindl with the dovre being my top choice . S off to my local gun dealers and tried a pair of dovre extreme on and found them to very comfy and a good boot . However i got my eyes on the meindl antarktis gtx and tried them on . Found them to be even more comfortable than the dovres and a fine looking boot . So that was me sold and they were put behind the counter as i got me eyes on sum new tay muck boots and bagged them to . Was nearly ready to go and pay for the boots and muck boots when a spied a nice pair of seeland threshfield pants so a thought feck it im havin them to So a was a happy chappy the day but the bank balance took a canny hit but what the heck nowt like spoiling yourself once in a while . Very happy with the meindls by far the comfiest boot iv ever worn . Looking forward to testing them out in the field . ATB FV Quote Link to post

Ripstop 89
Stu, the Meindl are excellant boots, Ive the older version called the Meindl Makula and they are spot on. Not heard good about the muck Boots for tough wear though. Do you use gaitors with the boots? I use the older green army boot ones, cut the wire, just like a pair of wellies, the gaitors are tough as f**k and look decent as well. Quote Link to post
Ripstop 89
Jessdale, the gaitors for a fiver are cheap, but very good, and ask f ville, if i say they are tough, then they must be lol. Quote Link to post

I use berghaus yeti gaitors, when out with the spaniels, but not when digging because the bottoms of them are rubber. Quote Link to post
