Brimmer 220
Bleeding eck, just read through all this again. Rabbit numbers are low. I know that. And then you start to read the excuses for it. Mixi, Buzzards, VHD and the like. When are people going to face facts and realise the biggest threat to rabbit populations is human intervention? I see knobhead reports on here about lads getting half a dozen in April, full of young uns, and starting out on the first of September and getting a couple of full size rabbits and then a few pom poms. Rabbits dont breed like rabbits as people think it takes a few years for them to get out of hand, trouble is most dont understand the fragile balance they are upsetting. I know i'm sounding like a fecking hippie, but find the balance, control and protect it. 4 Quote Link to post

Well said mate, some peoples permission will never hold the numbers for various reasons. if numbers are low then get out and find more permission and let what you have recover rather than scratching around for the odd rabbit. i know we're ment to be controlling a pest but lets face it how many actually do it for pest control??? i'd say at least 90% if not more is done in the name of sport.
