Carraghs Gem 1,675
There is litter wastage in border collie litters as well vixen, same in show litters many are easy to spot at a young age and those pups are sold to pet homes. Your being melodramatic.

Your being melodramatic. Having an opinion is not being melodramatic (i'm too old and wise for melodramatics )..........when breeding a litter for work be it lurcher, terrier, collie or whatever, there will be surplus puppies (as no one breeds a litter to keep them all) these surplus puppies are not wastage they deserve the same treatment and duty of care as the puppy being kept, i know straight away with any litter i have bred which pup i'm keeping BUT...........that doesn't warrant calling the rest of the litter wastage!! there are too many people breeding litters now that have no duty of care to a litter and treat their dogs in the same manner they would treat a broken tool in a toolbox.......i'll stick to treating my dogs and pups with the love and respect they deserve (even if some think that's melodramatic ), i'll let all the young (big i ams) crack on with their wastage and culling programmes and be real big
BULLDOUG 199
Why would anyone give a lifetime of work to a pet owner?? A dog bred from working lines isnt a pet and most likely an accident waiting to happen in the wrong hands, years of testing and working and breeding the very best to the very best and succeeding at the highest levels, Just to hand it over to some sap who will fill it full of pedegree scum, and walk it twice a day. Fook that. Pets get passed from pillar to post, the rescues are full of pets of all breeds, So why add to that? ATB D

And going completely off topic in order to pretend your better than anyone else is another example of your drama queen nature, ffs most lads and ladys on this site put their all into rearing their pups and wont let anyone have one of their pups... foxdigger13 114
Vixen, I can see what your saying, but some of the stuff you've said is abit silly, wastage refers to the amount of pups out of a litter that don't come up to the working standard, they can't all be world beaters, and I think you'll find that some people do breed and keep back whole litters, YIS
