dazzz 421
Had another night last night it wasnt exactly a planned trip more of a spare of the moment thing, there was 3 of us this time instead of the usual 2 as i knew Timber was wanting to get his young bitch Mea out to improve her fitness. The night was quite good although a bit more wind would have been ideal and the temp was quite warm at 8 degs, we had a couple of misshaps through the night as you do, i dropped my lamp and had to do some running repairs,my mates lamp was playing up (it'd older than a fecking concker tree lol) and Buck picked up a knock that hampered him a little but all in all it was a cracking night in good company. Timber's pup Mea is turning into a real good dog, what she lacks in fittness and experience she makes up for in every other way and her retrieve is as good as any gun dog, she only missed 2 out of 16 runs. Buck was his usual self mopping them up with ease upto getting a knock that although we think is not to serious it all but finished his night. Ruby ran well again only missing 4 i just wish her retrieve was as good as Mea's. the end total was 54,,,,,,,,,,Ruby 22,,,,,,Buck 18 and Mea 14 im hoping Timber has some better pic's i didnt realise mine where that bad Edited November 9, 2012 by dazzz 8 Quote Link to post

Top stuff lads..top marks to those mutts..ATB Andy Well i definately felt like a pensioner thats for sure , phew it doesn't get any easier clambering up them bloody hills, sure you'll vouch for that Andy lol . Enjoyed last night, all three dogs performed admirably and no ego's involved it's a great game to be in on nights like that . As for the retreiving well Lilly's just a natural and i believe Chester was the same so there was always a good chance Mae would be a decent carrier , i've heard Derbylads Xena is a natural retreiver it's in the genes i think Quote Link to post
