I use Rimfire .22Lr rifles with sub ammo and it's not normally a problem. Trust me if the horse's had a problem i would not be allowed to shoot on the land. Horse owners are very particular about them getting upset.

Horse's do get spooked at the stupidest of things. bags, hosepipes to name just a few. The horse would of aborted for a medical reason and not you using an air rifle.... I could understand them becoming spooked with Boom sticks or .17hmr's.

When they do get spooked they just run away from the noise and normally settle in a couple of minutes.

Its 100% not your fault

I think you are the victim of unfortunate circumstances Mike. Hard to say what gets into a horse's head! Fireworks exploding might have been a contributing factor -hence the shotgun query. I cannot see how a single fellow with just a TX200 can cause a mare to abort her pregnancy!

I don't think the lady is thinking with clarity; other than she sees you as a figure with a "gun" in the vacinity of her horses she can eliminate from the problem.

Sorry to read this mate.

She's just using it as a excuse to kick you off pal. Had trouble over a horse breaking its leg lost some ground, doubt I was even there at the time of the incident.

Another farm we shoot crows practically over his ponys they don't give a toss. Livestock equals dead stock sometimes but when a horse is involved its always someone else's fault.

Let's face it could of aborted for any number of reasons.

And no I don't like horses before anyone asks.

Horses are funny old things, was on a job yesterday at a stable block and there was a woman with a horse so I made her aware I was there and she said to pass by and that the horse doesnt worry about anything and it was fine, so just started to walk forward slowly and the thing shot off like a rocket nearly taking the woman with it, bloody horses hate the things. People like to push the blame to anyone now days I wouldn't worry to much mate

Most horse owners live in a bubble my sister in law included with no common sense and they think they are always right and wont change their mind regardless of proof proving them wrong

Don't think that's limited to horse owners mind you, I know a HW95 owner like that too!
