secretagentmole 1,701
Regulated gun? Try a nice Super 10, not too expensive on the secondhand market and they are built to last. Ultras are cheaper, but the mark 1 has a love it or loathe it cocking system and a reloading probe that is prone to snapping if not caught with a thumb as you depress the side switch. Others to look out for. Daystate Harrier or X2, very nice rifles, sometimes sold off by people at prices that would make Daystate owner's eyes water (we bought one for £275 last year with a 300 bar 3 litre bottle, Hawke Map 6 scope, silencer and a silly little 6-9 inch bipod which was great if shooting on a snooker table useless in real life). Hunt hard, be prepared to travel and deal face to face, especially if buying in the Cheltenham or Gloucester area! Edited November 11, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Best advice get yourself down to Solware and John Knibbs, John Knibbs is about 40 miles from your approximate location, Solware is in the same sort of area. Try some out, see what you like, see what fits and then start looking. Don't worry about not buying from them, after all you are going to want to buy your pellets etc from somewhere so use them. They might have what you want at a price you can afford, but if they do not, you can always come back here and ask for help finding! Edited November 13, 2012 by secretagentmole 1 Quote Link to post

Grayling 56
hi, i love my pcp and as a result i can only recommend everyone to one of the same, its a weirauch hw100t, its a bit weighty but i find it reassuring and solid, very well engineered, cracking accuracy, and will last for ever. Got to agree with you, excellent piece of kit although I don't find them heavy. I do think they have the best most reliable magazine cycling system of any PCP and can't be double cycled, with a pretty much unbreakable 14 shot magazine. Industry standard silencer, brilliant safety catch, if you can apply the safety catch its loaded, if you can't it isn't. At £760 its way cheaper than Theoben which are on a par quality wise, totally out classes the Daystate Huntsman, is way better than the AA410 or Air Arms unashamed copy the AA510. It can also be fitted with a single shot pop out mag if needed, but in my rifles case fitting this does ever so slightly change the zero. Highly recommended, a no brainer really . PLEDGEY 496
AA S410. Bought it second hand 5 years ago . Shoot rabbits out to 50 yards no problem, never gone wrong. It likes AA Field Diablos, some people say they are crap but i have never had a problem with them, using a new tin at the moment. Use a stirrup pump, not a problem, and got a Mamba Lite on it, sweet ass scope. Quote Link to post
