Ferret thieves Southampton

Recommended Posts

We have just received a call in the last 20mins reporting a ferret theft from a very well respected ferret keeper in Hampshire. The person concerned actually came across the would be theives attempting the break-in and we're led to believe a number of ferrets have been taken. Hampshire constabulary are reported to be at the scene.

Please make as many people aware both locally and around the surrounding counties as there's the possibility theives are back targeting ferret owners again in and around the region. We've had reports of them either being stolen for opportunist poaching and another shocking report of them being stolen to order then being shipped to Spain.

Unfortunately, we are unable to give any more details at this moment in time but we urge you all to extra vigilant and report anything suspicious to the police...

Guys

It would appear several ferreters have been raided by these scumbags, around Southampton, Whitchurch, Stockbridge and Andover.

God knows what they are doing with so many ferrets, and why go to so much hassle when you can buy em so cheaply or get given them?

Suggest you all are well prepared and leave a few presents for these visitors....who mostly seem to be just under sixteen....so can only have police cautions.....

It is well worth having your ferrets micro chipped and Wessex ferret club I believe do this very cheaply....so if they are being sold on to labs, or elsewhere they may get scanned.....

Anyway hopefully ones gets what they deserve climbing over someone fence one night....

FFS i carnt believe theres groups of lads going round choring ferrets. In the summer people cant give kits away. Has anyone got any idea what they are doing with them ? If they are taking nets it must mean they are selling to ferreter or using it themselves ? I hope the b*****ds get caught soon. Theyll get a nasty surprise if they try getting into my backyard ....

After a week with no thefts, just had a message from a well known pro rabbit catcher in Hampshire that another batch of ferrets were stolen today from near salisbury. Surely someone knows something? Where are all these fitches going cause there are no rabbits down here to work!

Will post more info as soon as Soon as i get more details
