timwest 8
I am looking for a new scope for a remington 700 bdl .222. it would mainly be used for lamping foxes at night. maybe sitting out baiting them. i am interested in the schmidt & bender 8x56 as i hear they let a lot of light in for shooting in low light. however i dont know much about the scope. can anyone help please? bigrifle 24
Very good scope they will give around half hour of extra shooting time at dusk, i would say dont buy new, your better off looking for a second hand german made scope you will also find the tube will need 26mm mounts, oh did i mention i might just have one spare Quote Link to post

JohnGalway 1,043
I don't have one, but if I had the extra cash I'd be interested in buying one. Very good glass, fixed magnification so no chance of pissing around when what's needed is to shoot the fox. Enough mag to shoot foxes at sensible ranges. No parralax. Quote Link to post
TopDown 0
I have one on my .243. I love it. I was a bit dubious about fixed power as I prefer variable but having used it a bit I'm so glad I have it. As said already there are some excellent bargains to be had second hand. Quote Link to post
