Lab 10,979
ever shot a red stag???............ No mate but it wouldn't bother me if i didnt. I dont see the fasination off crawling about a hill in all weathers to shoot such a magnificent beast. But i can fully understand why many do....

tegater 789
The main change with me, was once my lads were old enough to shoot, I have been more than happy to stand back without a gun and just watch the skill and enjoyment they are going through, as I experienced at their age. The Duncan 802
I can empathise with you Lab. Every now and then I have enough of killing, even though half my motivation for being out with a gun or rifle is kitchen based. When I've had a break for a while though, I do like to get back out again and relish the challenge and the age old instincts. I can also empathise with Tegaters point when he says he takes satisfaction in seeing his youngsters shoot- I do like seeing a good shot well-taken, whether its by my own flesh and blood or a friend. It is a really subjective thing

WILF 47,662
Don't worry about it, guns don't eat nothing and they don't need a walk so leave them until you feel like it......change is as good as a rest.
