looks like someone needs a lurcher in their life..... and i DONT mean lurcher1..............

Its a simple fact of life mate, being out with a dog, is a whole lot more enjoyable, than being out with a gun.

Just go to the dales everyone else is :D

ever shot a red stag???............

No mate but it wouldn't bother me if i didnt. I dont see the fasination off crawling about a hill in all weathers to shoot such a magnificent beast. But i can fully understand why many do....

Hey lab, want me to come over and fill yer freezer for you? Nae bother liksey! I'm selfless that way!! Put it this way, if you dont, someone else will!

As for red stags, overrated in my book, big heavy baisturts and a hoooor tae drag and nae use for eating!

Seriously tho, if you need a bit for the freezer, I will drop some off.....

I can empathise with you Lab. Every now and then I have enough of killing, even though half my motivation for being out with a gun or rifle is kitchen based.

When I've had a break for a while though, I do like to get back out again and relish the challenge and the age old instincts.

I can also empathise with Tegaters point when he says he takes satisfaction in seeing his youngsters shoot- I do like seeing a good shot well-taken, whether its by my own flesh and blood or a friend.

It is a really subjective thing
