I did see on your other thread that someone mentioned that they can't be fixed. Have you tried calling Deben to enquire about getting it fixed?

I thought if the collars didn't work they where knackered as you cant touch the resin as theres wires in there that act like a Ariel ?.

that resin's a nightmare to get off without breaking the components or solder joints, i think alot of problems with the collars not working is a dirt build up between the contact on the outside of the battery cap going into the resin itself. its a pain in the arse to solder a new contact without melting the existing resin. ive had this problem before and ended up lobbing the collar in the bin.

A friend of mine makes them and fixes the boxes and when the collars are broke they can't be fixed

I took a broken one to my work and they shaved off the resin layers to see what was in there and they told me it would break it but it wasn't working anyway ,so unless you can melt the resin off with out breaking the wires it knackered but folk on here are selling new collars cheaper than Debens where
