can anyone recomend a good pair of waterproof trousers, ones that are tough and wont tear on barbed wire fences ect and wont cost a fortune, if any exist. as my last ones were cheap shite, and cut to ribbons.

Thats a hard one mate, IMO you cant beat goretex, but that said, its not that durable, its expensive and it rustles. The more durable you go, the sweatier you get. Have a look at some of the carp angling clothing. ESP is not a bad brand. Anyone ever tried fabsil-ing some army trousers?

For Ferreting, any warm trousers will do, the main thing is to have a pair of wax leggings, the ones with the studs up the side, great for kneeling at hedges, helps stop thorns going into the knees.

The big shots Barbour ect are too expensive i picked mine up new, on Ebay,
