Guest norseman
can anyone recomend a good pair of waterproof trousers, ones that are tough and wont tear on barbed wire fences ect and wont cost a fortune, if any exist. as my last ones were cheap shite, and cut to ribbons. cheers, happy hunting Quote Link to post
Tug 168
I'd go for a pair of dickies work trousers, topped with a pair of wax leggings or over trousers. Quote Link to post
sam4530s 37
dont think you can beat a pair of army trousers tbh , not the best in water tho or the cold but they strong and cheap and do the job 1 Quote Link to post
Stretch177 39
Yeah i just use army trousers and get my missus to sew leather patches on the knee's, incase i have to kneel down to dig etc. Quote Link to post
bobcullen79 1,495
Thats a hard one mate, IMO you cant beat goretex, but that said, its not that durable, its expensive and it rustles. The more durable you go, the sweatier you get. Have a look at some of the carp angling clothing. ESP is not a bad brand. Anyone ever tried fabsil-ing some army trousers? Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
For Ferreting, any warm trousers will do, the main thing is to have a pair of wax leggings, the ones with the studs up the side, great for kneeling at hedges, helps stop thorns going into the knees. The big shots Barbour ect are too expensive i picked mine up new, on Ebay, Quote Link to post
