mikey3175 0 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Share Posted November 5, 2012 hello all. i was coming on here as a guest just to have a read and thought why not,and joined(glad i did). brilliant forum and some top blokes on here,davey and zinaroon to name a few,watch them on youtube all the time now,thank-you lads learnt a hell off alot. anyhow im michael 37 and live in the manchester area.i have three young lads and another boy due in the next three weeks(yes im mental). after yrs haveing said i wnat a good air rifle i went for it and bought my 1st one last march. Im now the very proud owner of webley fx2000 in the 22. to say i LOVE this air rifle would be an understatement.AT least 5 days a week i fill her up to 200 bar and go off plinking for a couple of hours. i baught aload of spinning targets of ebay and set them from 10 to 60yrd. having put at least three thousand pellets through my baby im getting prtetty dam accurate.as i had never shot anything live, a took her out last week to an old bit of waste ground and there found plenty of maggies and feral pigeons.my 1st ever shot at a wild animal was amazing,i was shaking and took a deep breath and took a clean head shot at a feral pigeon at a lasered 34 metres.being honest guys i would feel HORRID if i injured an animal and it flew or crawled away to a slow death. in the last couple of weeks iv taken a dozen or so pigeons and the same maggies.iv now added a nite-site to my baby and have permission to shoot the rats on my local fishing pond.what a an experience that was,all in all i took 27 rats on my 1st nite and everyone was a clean head shot. im ready to go for rabbits now,but dont have permission anywhere(will have to beg some of the local farmers and golf courses and YOU GUYS if anyone wants to introduce me to the rabbit(quiet,patient and love to learn and listen). also i gave up my boring job as a labourer in a warehouse three yrs ago and went to college where i have now just qualified as a proffessinol chef,so any rabbits shot i will gladly cook ya a top meal as a thank-you. thats about it for now guys,i love and i mean LOVE this shooting game,i respect all off apsects off shooting(watching it cont on youtube,buying the air gun mags and reading about it all, the spare time i have).Come say hi and if ya anything to teach me please let me kno as my motto is ya can never learn enough in life. kindest regards mike.
