Here is why below, most of us have certain strains of lurchers for coursing and not just greys. ;)

Good course though :D:drink:

Frank.

Good find that Frank and a great course , some more good stuff on the page as well. I thought the Galgo was a strain of lurcher/longdog though, not a pure greyhound, might be wrong though :hmm: sure some well informed individual will let us know :D

"Galgo" means sighthound in Spanish. The hound of Spain is called "galgo espagnol" and is a bit different from the greyhound in the UK. It is smaller with a longer, narrower head and a longer tail and kind of longer and flatter feet. When you think the head of a greyhound looks "snaky", the head of pure galgo will make the greyhound head look like a normal dog's one. It is really high in the hips and doesn't muscle up so much as the greyhounds I have seen.

Just as with saluki there are a lot of people that cross greyhound in to speed it up.

Once again, check out their nation club and download the "boletin informativo" as PDF. You're gonna love it.

 my dogs went f*****g mad when they heard the dogs now they think there going out

good clip

i think that the spanish grey isnt as good as the english/irish as a lot of the dogs that dont make the grade here end up racing in spain where the requirements are not so high.

Whin...were you at the desert hare classic? if you saw rough haired black and white bitches there's a big chance they were bred by the Zarandillo kennel. They are nice for sure.

I got a rough haired one and I love it. Its is real fast and shows endurance but it didn't see a hare yet...17 months old now...I wouldn't say no to a galgo-whippet longdog :)
