Only if it's a handy place. Who's going to be able to carry all the gear needed if it's not easy?

By the time you get down, not only will you fecked, the dog might be as well.

If you've got a quad etc it's a bit easier but feck carrying shovels, bar, net bag, gun, etc

and taking terriers on your own.

Been there, done that, have had to ring mates up to come and give me a hand

when it turned out not be the three or four footer it had been in the past

Done plenty ov digging by my self over the years with working funny shifts and mates at work. used to take the missis before we had kids but the idle fecker would only watch handing orders out Most spots id dug before so i new how deep they would be.Had my share of tricky ones were i needed help

you dont get the crack wiout a mate or 2 being with ya and the extra help is useful and also theres a better chance oul ginga ninja bolting as your much quieter on your own

depends on the dogs working style-if its a hard dog imo it can pay to have 1-2 bodies on the tools.
