Deker 3,478
Hi all i got my FAC with the use of a .22 rimfire around six months ago i am wanting to apply for a 243 for fox and deer control as i have been asked by land owners if i could.do so. is it best to leave it a certain time before applying or will it be ok?? cheers This wait a while syndrone seems to be gaining momentum, WHY, if you have the land and need, then you should be able to get a .243 on FIRST GRANT. You don't get a CF because you have had an air rifle or shotgun or rimfire a while, so why do you think you need to wait? Edited November 5, 2012 by Deker Quote Link to post

tomdean 4
cheers guys and in reply THE STALKER i have heard about having a mentor and have one lined up. But is there a spicific amount of time you have to go out with your mentor or is it just when they say your safe? Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
I put in for 22 17 and 223 all at same time on first application and got all 3. No mentor but FEO knew I have been out shooting with mate on his permissions with all 3 calibres. You do need the permissions that have been approved for the calibres. A visit from FEO, or a call to him, should indicate what your likely to get. Edited November 23, 2012 by masmiffy Quote Link to post
