The Duncan 802
I keep hearing that cats can't kill adult rats. Funny thing is that our youngest feline social parasite keeps bringing in adult rats and eating them! In fact she is starting to look a bit round! All the extra curricular feeding is stacking up lol! What is more unusual is that she is only 6 months old. Am I the only one with a properly useful moggy?

lanesra 3,994
I lived on the edge off a golf course and the cat was regularly catching them , cats are ruthless predators and an adult rat shouldn't be a problem for a cat .
Malt 379
My auntie used to have a cat that killed young rabbits in the field behind her, if they were up to 3/4 grown they were fair game!

jetro 5,349
i like watching the cat, when its catches a mouse and plays with it befor it kills and eats it. it gives the mouse so much hope, but it has no chance. i know its cruel, but still good to watch. jetro 5,349
we also had a big tom that liked to catch frogs. the dirty thing would eat them, which wasnt so bad, but i t would come into the house and throw them up again. the smell was rank. trying to clean it up was worse, it stuck to every thing. Lab 10,979
My auntie used to have a cat that killed young rabbits in the field behind her, if they were up to 3/4 grown they were fair game! The cat i had here for about a year would no doubt take a rat with ease. Now she was just a wee thing but she also brought in 2 young rabbits, countless mice and the odd garden bird!!! Never actually saw her with a rat but i wouldn't be surprised if she had them. Watched her stalk a cock pheasant i have going about the garden.....crept up to about 6ft from it then launched herself.....willey old cock managed to escape though....
