Get her on the easyist rabbits you can, Sitters ect (Altho if its like round here you'll be luck this time of yr now)...

Get her ferreting ect and too build confindndecens a few easy kills thats what she want, Some say just keep throwing rabbits at her and she'll learn but i dont like young dogs missing and missing and missing i dont think it does too much for there confiedences and can set bad habits IMO...

Keep with her she'll cotton fellah

Ps she anit injured at all is she?

I would never start dog off with another present, theres no need & it can affect the dogs retrieving & cause jealousy. I just try to make sure the weathers right to ensure the rabbits are sitting well out from cover. I used to use the same fields for starting pups as there weren't too many rabbits there but the ones that were would always be sitting a long way out from the wood. Last thing you want is a young dog hunting up rabbit after rabbit if its missed the first. Perservere taking the dog out on its on, try & stack the odds in its favour & if I thought I'd need to give a pup 'droppers' I'd give up lurchers

thanks for all your advice, she isnt injured and only had her first season two months ago, she was to young to start last year so i have really only just started her on the lamp iv taken her ferreting but i think she is just still very imature and its just gunna take a bit longer with her. its just so frustrating watching her chase them up and down but doesnt strike when she has the oppotunity?

Your frustrated fellah think how she feels, Running ten and missing them all anit good in my book

Get her a few easy kills by which ever way is easyer for you. If she's immature fellah just give her time plenty of confident boosters along the way

But she might just be one of them dogs that lacks strike and could (Hope not for you) always be that way she'll run her stuff but not connect when you know fine well she could, Has she caught many rabbits at all?

If you feel she's still too immature don't undo all your time spent with her by rushing things , as she will be ruined. If I run my dog on two rabbits or maybe three an it looked like it could of caught but not making the effort to strike I'd call it a night and would hold off another couple of months. However frustrating it is for you..by running an missing that many in a night is just going to demoralize that dog big time. You won't hear of a dog starting later being ruined but always see young dogs "doing the business" up for sale etc. The dog never fails, the owner who entered it has.. but I hope things are going to look up for you. But if I was in your shoes I'd hold off..atb
