Madcowz 0
Court coming along a treat now, just finishing off the wood work and have started adding shelves for them to sit on. So far they have 8 shelves, 6 of them are quadrant shelves in the corners, some one above the other. The other two are bog standard bits of wood with backets. Have two up against the wire mesh so that they can sit there and watch the day go by rather than spending their time hanging off the mesh. Other shelves will ahve hooks underneath for hanging hammocks and stuff like that. What I am wondering is, what do you guys use to connect shelves/areas together? I will be using some ramps and also some ag drainage pipe, but what about ladders, do they like climbing these? I take it they are no good at running along rope like rat? Prob also get some branches from the woods to make it a little more natural for them? Also, I am about to start work on a nesting box. What are the dimensions of yours? Was thinking of a box with removable lid about 12" by 10". Ideas and pictures if possible please, is always great seeing what other people have created. thanks, /Mad Quote Link to post

I imagine it must need regular cleaning. Thanks for the offer though, I should be ok with the 100mm drainage pipe from the farm. /Mad I put a plastic dustbin in mine with a hole about 8 inches from the bottom for them to climb in , then filled it with some compost stuff, they loved getting filthy in it That is a good idea. They must love burrowing through that lovely smelling compost. Could do the same with that sunken area that, was it Blando built oustside his court. Fill that with compost and let them burrow about for hours. /mad Edited June 23, 2007 by Madcowz Quote Link to post
