Been living where we are now for 10 years and in all that time i have never seeen, or heard a single Jay. About 3 months ago i started to hear them and now we have loads of them. There were 6 gathered in one spot in the corner of the field next to our place on Friday night when i got home. I tried to sneak up on them but no chance, they are just as crafty as Magpies. Hs anyone else noticed an increase in Jays?, or does any one have a special technique for dealing with them?.
