thinking about a gun change

Recommended Posts

been shooting hw80s now for the best part of 3 years but im fancying a change but not sure if i would be better getting my .22 80 tuned by tony at sandwell . in your opinions would i be better getting it tuned or chopping both the 80s in for a walther lgv .

my fav 80 has a v-mach kit in it currently and is smooth to shoot and cock but the lure of a new toy keeps my thinking about the walther

whats your thoughts

heres the 80 after a few hours out

Get that 80 tuned by the likeable, genuine and quite evidently highly skilled Tony Wall.

From my handling of the Walther and the literature I've read, it is in essence a tuned Weihrauch. Allegedly they ripped off v-mach's innovations in order to achieve it.

My two cents for ya!

(Though if you change for a Walther, PM me!!! That's a cracking looking 80!)

Why change if your happy? More cost an by the look of that 80 it be a great regret I expect..looking superb

My thoughts exactly Rob! And more cost to do...exactly the same again! I've thought about my TX200 .22 rifle as a possible seller..till I go shooting with it!

This is a superb looking HW80K and has clearly proven itself in the field as a potent hunter. Losing this HW80 in sale or trade will be certainly regretted webster. :cray:

I've had mine for nearly 15 years and it still has the power to amaze me with what it's capable of. Nobody is ever going to get the one I own, not for a hundred other rifles and thousands of £££ on the table!

Keep it and save for another rifle!

i had a 77 with a v-mack kit in it and loved it but sold it for the 80 pictured . my preference is break barrels i just like the simplicity of them . another reason is the missis is nagging about the amount of guns i own 2 80s ,1 95. a 100kt a bsa airsporter rb2 and a bsa tactical xl

was thinking the lgv would be all i would need but if what you guys say about tony at sandwell is true maybe getting rid of all the springers bar the 80 pictured and keeping the hw100 might be the way forward
