AirgunGuy 362
As above. My mk3m is picking my 3 collars up ok but at 1 foot away the locator is showing 2 foot...4 foot away it's showing 8 foot and so on. Is it needing calibrating? If so, anyone know how to do it? Thanks Quote Link to post
kps1979 1,308
i rung deben asking for advice, i got a mk3m locater off a friend for cheap he said it needed recalibrating, guy from deben said the mk3 m doesnt need this doing as everything inside is fixed into place unlike the mk1, anyway mine had a faulty coller which deben replaced for free, try new battieres in box and coller or ring deben there were quite helpful to me! AirgunGuy 362
Thanks mate. I've 3 collars and they're all doing the same. Tried the whole battery thing. I'll give Deben a call and take it from there Quote Link to post
Guest vin
its wat they call a bonus...you start a 8 ft dig and it ends up being 4 foot..= Bonus. Nearly everytime We use the Mk3 it says the depth is more than it actually is..I dont read the depth , just look at the pretty lights and listen to the beeps..as long As it pinpoints the location im happy. And it does pinpoint it when you get used to all the other little niggly things about them. Quote Link to post
Guest norseman
yeah mine does the exact same, i jus listen to the beeps and look at the lights aswell still getting used to it though. happy hunting Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
Ok guys thanks. Seems to be a flaw with them then judging by the replies. I'll give Deben a call to see what can be done and let you all know. Thanks again Quote Link to post

moxy 617
You lucky sods. I have the standard MK3 and twice today it read 5ft and as sure as eggs are eggs it was two unlucky 5ft digs down to stop ends through sticky damp clay. I find that out in the open you don't get an accurate reading and if your locating very close to stock fencing then forget it. The reading goes way off the Richter scale! I would be interested to here Debens excuses as they fob you off. Hope you get it sorted Quote Link to post

moxy 617
Lol. Price it along the lines of the readings it's giving you so I'd say double that amount!! Quote Link to post
