woodga 170
well i have been looking to have the bitch out as she has been getting a bit bored lately so the fields were soft with all the rain the sky had some clouds to hide the half moon . so out i went the rabbits were out as usual and the bitch conected on the first slip with ease straight back to hand and away for the next one she picked five one after the other out of some longish grass i let her get a breather then slowly started working along a wood side lamping out into the field picking there ruby glow in the dark and send the bitch often she could not see the rabbit she just ran the beam the way a good lamp dog should as she neered the squatting rabbits her head went down and she moved up a gear and lifts them out of the seat i was making my way towards a squatter when the bitch lunged to the left i though she had nailed another young rabbit but when i put the lamp on she had connected with a frech partridge ah well accidents do happen any way i worked along the woodside steadily picking rabbits up and at the far end counted the tally 35 rabbits 1 partidge and a really enjoyable evening Quote Link to post
