update on squirrel feeder!

got up nice and early this morning to shoot some squirrels at my feeder. got there as soon as it was coming light and sat in my hide waiting for some fun to happen. waited for about 20 mins before i saw a squirrel walking down a fallen tree. i took a bit to get to feeder but once it did it wasnt going back home. i lifted my air rifle up and aimed and dropped it with a clean head shot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

this is the hide i use, it doesnt look much but it works!

i was so happy when i saw it drop to floor as this is the 1st thing ive ever shot with an air rifle and ive had a few failed attempts. thats the 5th squirrel ive had in this little wood and the other 4 i caught with my cage traps

its my dads old rifle nearly 30 years old i reckon but it still works fine. its a theoben something thats all i know

The old ones are the best ones, it looks cracking for its age. Nice shot and very lucky to have nice little woodland permission. As rare as rocking horse shit!

cheers lads the hide is only 10 yards away fom the feeder, so i can make sure i can get a clean kill

ive just put up another 2 ,if i go and sit at first light there hammering it ,im letting them get used to it before i start shooting them
