NEWKID 27,210
I would say Suarez is a more than adequate replacement for Torres.... No chance! Suarez is never likely to get the amount of goals that an in form Torres, Van Persie, Agureo, type striker brings to the team. His chance conversion ratio is awful compared to the top strikers at the top teams.. He needs to be paired with another decent forward IMO.. He looked pretty sharp yesterday Malt.... His record is appalling in front of goal, something like an 8% rate compared to the 25% or more of the other strikers at the other big clubs, look it up.. Yes he scored a truly world class goal yesterday, but one goal every three games is not enough for a main man at a club the size of Liverpool who harbour dreams of CL football and challenging at the top level, no matter how special the goals are when they come.. He's a luxury player like Nani is at United, if he was there he wouldn't be in the team over Rooney, RVP or even Hernandez in a striking role IMO...

I don't really look at stats mate, but I guess your right, he does get a few chances to score ( Andy Cole lol)..... He's just one of those players who gets involved in everything, he's becoming the main man there now..... I wouldn't swap him for Rooney or RVP...... I bet Chelsea would swap him for Torres though lol......

j1985 1,984
As a Arsenal fan from a family of Arsenal fans who lived a stones throw from Highbury it makes me sick to have to agree with what Gnashers saying but it true. Fair enough we run a good business but really apart from the few people making money from the club who else is really happy ? Nobody not even the players, Walcotts going to leave and the rest of the squad bar a few are shocking. I've got mates who used to hold season tickets that won't even come up the pub to watch a match now as its that bad. Wengers needs to go but so do the people making him work how he works, I think if he could spend what he wanted and when we'd be challenging for the title every year.
