The only other "unsackable" manager in the league bought his best player and revamped a side with quality again..... I'm not sure what Wengers allowed or not allowed to spend but could you ever see Fergie staying on as manager if his team couldn't compete.... Arsenal and Utd were the heaviweights of the prem, ok Chelsea and City have the financial clout to be the top teams but Fergie won't let them have it all their own way, he'll pay the money and wages to keep in touch..... Or Chelsea 2 off whom are banked rolled by Billionaires who tomorrow could walk out and look for another HOBBY and thats them 2 clubs Destroyed ,and the other is in so much debt it's criminal , there keeping there finances in order , they have 1 of if not the best stadiums in the country to rival anyones ?? so id say that outshines the cheeseburgers , yes they have sold there best players to there rivals in the last 3/4 yrs but surely 1 mans outlook on spending/selling shouldnt lose them respect that has been gained over a hundred yrs , Barcelona had Figo and Michael Laudrup leave them for Madrid which was as bad if not worse than what Arsenal have done , I don't think it took any respect from the club , which a few yrs on from that is the Best Club side the World has seen over the last few yrs !! This is where i think people like you miss out by following clubs from hundreds of miles away not only do you not get the general feeling amongst fans in the stadium you dont mix with fans in the area the club is in and get the feelings of people in the pubs,cafes,workplaces etc.......You are a few years behind the Arsenal fans i know they used to bang on about the ground and the bank account....now they couldnt care less they would give anything to go back to Highbury and be competing for trophies again !......We all like to focus on whats best about our clubs and shout about it im as guilty as anyone of that.....but at least most of what we shout about is football related and not who serves the nicest food or who has the nicest ground or best bank balance like Arsenal fans do..............you are even starting to sound like Wenger he had a good few fans brainwashed with that shit for years but most of them are out the other side now.......would Man Utd,Chelsea,City,Barcelona,RealMadrid etc etc accept not winning a trophy for 7 years ? no they would of f****d the manager off and made changes long ago.....the fact Arsenal dont do that but instead continue to plod along changing nothing means they deserve and will get no respect..............as a business yes you have to respect them......as a footballing force that respects in the past im afraid. Chelsea £515 million , Man City £479 million . Tottenham £235 million . Liverpool £201 million . Man U £172 million Thats the top 5 . . . . Arsenal spending over 10 yrs up until 2011 / 2012 is £48 million . . . Yes 48 million . . There in 9th place overall . Obviously that's what they have all spent after taking into account what they have made selling players ! Sunderland , Aston Villa and Stoke are also bigger spenders than Arsenal !
