Guest bezza
How many has fury fought inside the top ? Derek Chisora I think he's renked quite highly. .Fury did a better job on him than Klitchko. But as has been said a few times, the heavyweight division, which should be the jewel in the crown, is now little more than a sideshow. In fact more of a freak show with guys nearer 7 ft pawing away at each other like sparring stick insects. It's a bloody shame it's got to this. Gnash says these freaks should fight in their own division. I agree, I don't think anybody would turn up to watch them. That would allow the genuine mobile heavyweights to come into their own again.
gnasher16 30,217
Bezza your right,a fighter like David Haye love or hate him has far more talent skills and ability than these giants and he is a genuine heavyweight at 210lb.....yet realistically he would probably be beaten by far inferior fighters purely on size alone.......you think,he would give up around 40lb to Price/Fury/Klitchkos etc..........40 lb thats like a lightweight fighting a light heavyweight or a middleweight fighting a heavyweight..............between some weight divisions there is as little as 4lb......at heavy there can be 30,40,50 anything..............its killing the division in my opinion. TOMO 26,364
What do you think is the answer gnash,,, super heavyweight like the Olympics,, or perhaps change the weight categories , like move cruiser weight up a stone ect
gnasher16 30,217
I think thats the only answer Tomo a super heavyweight division at maybe 224......that still leaves 24 lb over the heavyweight division but it at least cancels out these freak shows bouts..............................the human race is getting bigger thats fine but the sport cant be compromised like it is at the moment....only my opinion like. brookie 1,193
Just had a look at some stats. Fury is 6 ft 9 and eighteen stone. Boytsov is 6ft 1 and 15 stone. The fight is in Belfast, Fury's second home, Boytsov has never fought outside Germany or Austria before. If Fury can't beat him, summat's wrong. Is it just me but I think there's something a bit vulnerable about Fury. Like a lot of travelling kids, he;s been brought up to fulfil his father's dreams. He's even called after a famous boxer ( there's a lot better heavyweight role models than Tyson to have been called after in my opinion.) I think there's something a bit unhealthy in it all. A bloke should be able to make his own way in life-not be forever pleasing his dad all his days. (Brookie is going to slaughter me for this comment. lol) Having said that I hope he wins. If only to eventually to see a showdown with Price. i dont bite any more to comments on here by the experts about tyson ,why was he born ,why is he boxing why did john name him after tyson , why he wont beat david price .why its no good for the sport of boxing because it doesnt help that cowardly b*****d blaggard david who got beat by a middleweight haye . im confidant in my own mind that tys going to win a world title ,im confidant hes going to knock boytzov out cold the same as we are all confidant he would stop price .so crack on lads your the ring side experts courtesy of thl.

stealthy1 3,964
Looks like Fury has to knock this man out to prove he's a contender Had to laugh at Fury's statement -Fury also could not resist a dig at David Price, who is set to meet 45-year-old Matt Skelton in his next bout, commenting: "I'm not going around getting opponents out of graveyards, fighting guys well past their best like some other heavyweights in Britain." http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/179009.html#

But who else have we got to back, when the pretenders to the thrown are gone, hopefully we will have a warrior to slay the rest of the world, I like Fury because he's a game lad

Did a lot of sparring myself at one time, but my quesion is, where are all the heavywieghts that can rival Fury and Price, Lenox Lewis could come out of retirement and waste the current contenders even at his age, the last time it was this bad, Holmes came back at 50 and won
