Grew up hunting anything and everything and am still a bit of a fair weather hunter. I suppose I'll be doing more in the coming years as the kids get a little older. Deer, turkey, small game and coyotes. Next year I will enter the lottery for a wolf tag.

Anyway, I have a terrier mix that I am starting on rats. Well, by starting I mean he regularly kills chipmunks and has started on skunk and other mammels he catches above ground or flat footed but we are looking to connect with people who rat and have him work with other dogs.

While he is too large to go to ground (except maybe for bear ;) ), I have some interest in this moving forward and want to learn more about working terriers.

Here is a picture of the good dog during an outing at the county fair this summer.

Hi Daniel, ya ever heard of a place over there called Gurney Mills ?, it has one of those Bass Outdoor World shops.

I have family in the area and have driven by the store but have never made it inside.

It is probably for the best for whatever I spent would probably find a twin dollar spent at the closest Macy's. ;)
