zini 1,939
Its a bit more complicated that that im afraid. The lady who claims chair lady of the allotment committee is not liked by many in the village so I have learned. The main problem is about 6 months ago she lost her son who was in the Grenadirs out In Afghanistan. He was killed by enemy action. Due to this fact no one likes to upset her and I agree they shouldn't. Me being a military man myself has full respect for fallen comrades and their families. This is why I didnt push to try and over turn her eishes and upset her. Si. 2 Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Ahhh that changes the complexion of this somewhat Si. You should have said earlier mate! Fair play to the lady. You have to respect her need for quiet and not having to see anyone dressed in combats/cammo around with a rifle in his hand wandering about the place. I wouldn't take this personally mate. PaulEamonn 37
Just like I said............ Though I suspect, having watched some of your videos, that you are too much of a gentleman to say exactly what should be said in the way it should be said, if you know what I mean. ......and being ex-Army myself, who remembers his own fallen comrades more often that I care to admit, fully understand and applaud your actions. 1 Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Yeah thanks. The reason I didnt say anything is that I thought this thread was dead and long gone Simon until it popped back up again. Im totally cool about it mate. Ive plenty of other places to shoot abit further away. The lady deserves her wishes respected. Si. 1 Quote Link to post
