zini 1,939
Check this out lads, Well Ive just been out filming and trying a challenge shoot on my allotment permission, one Ive had for over a year now when this lady turns up (about 55 to 58 years old) in her car and almost drove over my rifle on purpose after seeing it on its bipod. Staying calm I was just about to introduce myself when she started getting all boisterous asking if I had permission to be on there shooting. I explained I have and from who (all legal ect) when she informs me she is the chair lady of the NEW allotment association (WTF allotment association) in my village and she wasn't happy with me being there shooting poor rabbits or anything else in fact. It was so obvious that she is a full on anti the way she went on. She removed me from the permission (id finished anyway) and informed me that she will be taking it to the vote on Tuesday in the allotment association meeting (what a laugh) whether or not I should be shooting and doing any pest control or shooting at all on the allotments. I informed her I was the one actually doing the allotment owners a favour and if I'm not required any more so be it as I had plenty of other places to go and shoot and thank you. Ive now got to wait out for a phone call on Tues, but I'm not holding my breath for good news. I'll see how long she stays the chair lady when the rabbits breed again and eat all the crops like they did a year ago. You live and learn hey? Si. Quote Link to post

alimac 882
Allotment holders want vermin killed, they dont spend all there spare time growing stuff for doos rabbit & rats to help them selves.. I reacon you'll be surprised at the out come.. If she says it's a no go ask to see the minutes from the meeting as vote numbers should be recorded.. 4 Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Bitch!!!! How dare she? I am sure that the impact that you have had on the bunnies and woodies will stand you in good stead Si If you were not doing a good nough job on them they would have pulled your permission away a long time ago. I am also sure that every single one of the allotmentee's (for want of a better word) will back you up, she may be an antie but the people who grow their own veg etc, will not like the thoughts of their the toils and their efforts going to waste because of the robbing and damaging vermin. I can't wait to hear her reaction when she finds out all her veg as been decimated by the woodies and bunnies. If she's no grower, she wouldnt be on the association. Tony 1 Quote Link to post

Joe Jeffrey 0
Surley if she's the CHAIRMAN of the ALLOTMENT association she must know how much of a pain rabbits are on the vegtables that people work hard to grow? Think she's shot herself in the foot there Quote Link to post

Polkey 70
It might be worth seeing if you can attend the meeting and offer to give a short talk on the damage rabbit do (which im sure they already know) and the service you provide free of charge to help keep them under control and there allotments safe, It might help. It depends on how bothered you are about hanging on to the permission. If it was me I would bend over backwards to keep it just to piss her off! Hope it works out for you mate! 5 Quote Link to post

salop sniper 32
Surely its the land owner who will own the sporting rights to the land and not the allotment renters or there assosiation ! Sadly you cant buy a box of common sense to gift the daft old bat either ! Good luck ! 1 Quote Link to post
