jcm 2,327
well as most of you will know iv got a little saluki whippet based lurcher which acoounted for a few bunnys last season in his early days, however as the summer came to a closure and i had an odd night on the lamp the dog had totaly stoped following the beam and couldnt spot anything at the other end of the beam, which i was pretty pissed off about because the end of last he finished on a high. however i got him chasing and catching, (happy days) NOT a new problem had arrived i had a feckin yapper!!!! by now my blood was boiling and when out with company i felt a right c**k. it wasnt a constant yap it was the odd one but all the same a yap, i knew the dog wasnt lamping fit and by god i hoped this was the problem and to my knoledge i must have been right. the last month - month and a half he is in top condition and no yapp so iv been out at every givven chance daytime and on the lamp and he is realy on form, the dog is not realy suited to the ground i work as most of the fields are massive and the dog has had to addapt which he has done well and defeintly does not struggle for his size all 21" of him. he is also becoming a handy dog when it comes to retriving them big rabbits and i am yet to see the true potential this dog has got on them large runs he is now 19 month old and i couldnt be happier with him Quote Link to post
