Ideation 8,216
If she is still here tomorrow i will try to get some of that cat milk. I love this ferret mate, she has been with me on every days ferreting since the start of the 2009 season, and been all over the country with me, bolting a lot of rabbits. I had to go monday without her and i just couldnt get into it. Quote Link to post

herdwick 52
Electrolytes will do her far more good than cat milk. If you cant get proper stuff glucose and water will do but if you know a local farmer who will let you have some LECTADE that is the stuff to have. Quote Link to post

joe14 98
Ive used royal canin convalesence powder its great for poorly ferrets, and great for putting weight back on em. You can get it here. You just mix it to how thick you want it. If you want me to send you some I can do. http://www.vetuk.co.uk/royal-canin-veterinary-diets-royal-canin-convalescence-c-1030_65_78/royal-canin-convalescence-support-instant-sachets-p-254 Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Well, she is still here, and perhaps looking a tiny bit better, her breathing is definatly a bit easier. I been syringing fluids into her regularly, along with some of that hills crucial care stuff, made into a watery paste, and have managed to get her to eat bits of mince, and fish etc, every now and then. I'm fecking knackered, been setting the alarm to get up during the night to see to her. Joe14 - cheers for the offer mate, but think the time scale i got here is a bit short, but if she makes it over the next couple of days i will get some to try to build her up. I really hope she makes it, but its still not that likely, we've probably gone from a 5% chance of survival, to a 25-30% chance at the moment. But in the past ive noticed that they often perk up just before they keel over. Here's hoping though, i'm going to keep trying, as long as she shows any positive signs and isnt in pain. Ive sacked work off this week, and ferreting, but if she makes it, it will be very much worth it. Quote Link to post

Jamie m 668
I got some recovery food from the vets once when I had an overly motherly ferret so overly motherly she forgot to eat or drink : ) I also had rehydration powder I mixed in the water I syringed in , two days on the recovery food and rehydration powder and antibiotics she was doing back flips cost me a cool 60 notes well worth it , Good luck with the fert , Edited November 1, 2012 by Jamie m Quote Link to post
