Then Dispose of humanely. The reason I ask is because a friend is having the same problem, but doesnt like the idea of dead decaying poisoned rats indoors and doesnt like the idea of traps outside because of pets and children..... Cotopaxi 0 Posted November 16, 2012 Report Share Posted November 16, 2012 Have you tried baiting them out with peanut butter and using a glue board to catch them? the board works better than the trap because some rats are smart enough to swipe enough peanut butter without setting off the spring loaded mouse trap.
