Scooby was around a 5/8 grey 3/8 saluki and you wouldn't get much better by anyones standards as a running dog i witness the dog run a few times and it always never failed to impress me.

Well fella i saw the dog run as much if not more than anyone in his early days and quiet a bit through the rest of his short carrier. To be honest he was no legend and had a few major faults for a dog with his chosen profession, but saying this he had a very keen maybe obsessed owner and put some gear on the deck. But numbers don't always tell the full story, i will leave it at that as the dog is gone and his owner isn't about much to comment.

The dog was 4 maybe 5 when i saw him and on the choosen quarry it never missed a beat in 3 outing but i'm not on hear to cause a argument just give my opinion on a dog i saw run a few times so yeah lets leave it there

no offence fellas, but simply because he wrote on book on his dogs exploits, and it pulled a bit of game, means little....... many hundreds of dogs out there that dont need books to make them sound god, the proof is in the pudding

the owner rated him a fair dog and at the end of the day thats all the dog had to please .and plenty of others saw the dog run .

Yer sorry should of put darcys scooby but I know he wasn't a beddy x lol he was an amazing deer, fox, rabbit, hare dog that gave his all but eventually hit a wall out coursing and died

there are dogs out there that can take that variety of game with ease , i dont know what makes this one so special ,.................is it because its in a book
