Thequietman 3
Hi there have been doing fair bit of netting last year or two with a couple of quick set setups but getting soft i dont like to kill them i relocate them to my poorer farms. well my nets are now propper chewed holes every where no pun intended. after reading peg to peg and trolling through old threads it seems there is a marked difference in sheet netting and hand made nets am thinking of making a trad net how much and what type of twine do you recomend for 100 yarder plus 100% bag in 4z cheers Quote Link to post
Tiercel 6,986
The easiest way to find out how much 4z twine you will need is to weigh your 4z nets. A 200yard sheet of 4z net weighs roughly 2.2kilo so that would take 5x500g balls of 4z twine. As for knitting a net with nylon, I would rather stick hot needles in my eyes. Contact Nigel at Agouti nets and get some of his long net twine far better to knit with and he will tell you how much you need. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&ved=0CDAQjBAwBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.agouti-nets.co.uk%2Fcategory%2F34-twine&ei=qaCNULKVLcbJ0QX2uIC4Cg&usg=AFQjCNG9Y9w3v4kwK_SaeHGinXTOfbNPlg TC Quote Link to post
