First trip out this season

Recommended Posts

Decided to have a look out this morning for a couple of hours even tho the nettles and undergrowth are still thick so me the dog (meg) and 2 ferrets 1 from last year that had been out a couple of times last year, and a kitt fom this year set off about 7,30 to a bit land just a few miles from home there was only a few sets that were accessible because of the nettles .only took a few purse nets and my 50yd quickset got to the first set netted what I could and put the longnet out put the 2 stinkers in and after a bit of pixxing about by the new kit she disappeared down a few knocks and 2 rabbits bolt 1 into the longnet and 1 straight down the hedge into another set.

Both ferrets apeared so packed nets up and moved on at the next set were the rabbit had disappeared down as I was putting a few nets down meg managed to flush a bunny out of the hedge it made its way to the set we had just done but the dog put pay to that hoyed ferrets in and out pops rabbit no.3 moved down the hedge and found a 1 holer put the ferret in with no net if there is out in its down to meg, the rabbit came out like missile and headd straight across a ploughed field with meg on it no.4 in the bag.any way decided to call it a day really enjoyed the couple of hours out lovely and peaceful just me and the dog.decided to clear a couple off sets so a can do them next week hands and arms are on fire with nettle stings as I wright this but great to be out again.
