skycat 6,173
At this age it is impossible to say which pup will make the better worker: or they might both be equally good. Which one do you feel most comfortable with? Are you a 'full throttle' sort of person, or are you more laid back yourself? Some people do better with a more chilled out dog, others prefer a challenge, but both could perform well in the field. And don't forget that the pups may change a lot once there is only one on its own: the bolder one could become more responsive and the calmer one could come out of its shell, so to speak. Males are often more laid back anyway, but that doesn't mean that they won't do the job they were born for. Quote Link to post
salukixgrey 779
Bitches do seem more upfront as pups, I got a dog and bitch out of same sire but different dam. I thought he was vicous but the bitch pup I got now is even worse, and when there teething all they want to do is bite, but the dog mellowed out now 18months, hopefully bitch will do the same. Runningdogs3 59
Thats funny because I have exactly the same problem. Got a dog and a bitch left out of a litter of 9. Was originally going to keep bitch but the dog pup has grown really well and turned into a lovely stamp of a dog. Now I can't decide. Playing the lottery and advertised them both. See which goes first then I don't have to make a descision. I do like your dog pup though. Quote Link to post

Adam_Chuck 256
I would go for the dog that suited my temperment. I would look at which 1 had better feet etc and then maybe make my decision from there Quote Link to post
