morton 5,368
Feck me Wales are doing well".........................your only loosing 20 nil.......lol Dont matter as long as we win the proper rugby ive played both codes and when you've played a season of league you then know which is proper rugby (it aint union ) Its usually the league players, when they can,t cut the grade anymore in league, defect to union,Robinson being the exception,Union players rarely cut the cloth in League, the public schoolboy education and lack of gonads for a game that lasts for minutes and allows for few time outs,as in Union, sorts the wheat from the hooray henry,s. Not many fecking hooray Henry rugger buggers this side of the Severn! League used to be blessed with the talents of our Welsh cousins, many, many taffs have become legends in league, until the £££,s of union and an easier lifestyle and game made them once proud warriors take to the kick and chase and softer option, not all but some, the decent lads in the valleys are still drawn to the challenge of league and are still willing to test themselves at the real sharp end,the Crusaders have many young Welsh colts in the squad that may one day wear the jersey with the pride and passion of old.

morton 5,368
Clash of the codes 1996 Wigan 82 Bath 6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVl0uExqwNM&feature=related Fantastic result for league at the time, problem was union realised how far behind league they really where and then started to poach first our conditioners and offensive and defensive coaches, then our players. The only reason England finally won the union world cup was because of Phil Larder,ex Keighley Cougar,as a defensive coach,we won the cup on defence,Larder and not offence, the Hooray that got knighted because of Larders input.Since then Union as beat a path to league for defence and offence coaches,Ford,Larder,Kelly,Farrel,Edwards etc.etc.

morton 5,368
A survey was done recently, sponsored by union,to show the realitys of the game, they tried to hide the results, but it was leaked,in an average union game the ball was in play for an average of 38 minutes a match,in League it was 68 minutes.Does that mean the attention span of a league fan is far superior to the watchers of the other code,or,the other code knew no better until Wigan in the Union 7,s destroyed all in front of them, and awoke a slumbering crowd, that was otherwise starved of rugby. They do that on purpose to give the crowd enough time to get back and forth to the bar without missing too much of the game! You'd spill your tray of 4 pints everywhere is you had to rush back to your seat scared of missing the action, common sense really!

Possibly, especially with the prices charged at some of the union grounds,Pimms and G and T,s are beyond the wallet of the average League fan.
