obi2 239
Iv always thought bitches were better workers tho and worked harder than dogs in cover and finding game. Quote Link to post

blue staffy 145
always prefered dogs for the simple fact they are bigger and stronger but had a little bitch bull x that was just as keen as any dog just her size( 21tts ) that let her down but have to admit she was easier to train and get on with than the dogs Quote Link to post
RETIC80 11
To be honest, i wouldn't give two ####'s if it was a bloody hermathrodite and was bright pink, as long as it was doing its job.... 1 Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
I don't think it matter's one bit whether its a dog or bitch but a lot depends on how they're entered, but you don't want to enter too early if possible and I like a bit of collie and beddy in mine, some will jib regardless of their sex,WM Quote Link to post
Macky 227
over the years have been out with dogs and bitches ,and i have found that dogs have a bit more about them than bitches, but when you find a good bitch it is worth its weight in gold . Quote Link to post

johnny 2 367
Back in the good old days which of the 2 made for better fox dogs and hunters?I know every dog is different but would like to hear what other people's different views and experiences were. I always kept bitches and to be honest none ever made good fox dogs only taken a few a season. Are dogs more cut out for it than bitches? Cheers lads What was the breeding behind these bitches?I've seen more good bitches than dogs, but that is just my own experience Quote Link to post
obi2 239
They were, saluki grey collie grey types, that was the general make up. The dogs were of similar breeding and just seemed to take to it more naturally. Iv always kept lurcher bitches an would like to keep it that way but I'm thinking about a dig this time for this reason. ( just incase the ban gets lifted of course ) Quote Link to post
